Derrick Marrs serves as Youth Pastor for New Testament Baptist Church’s Broward youth group. He started serving at NTBC in June of 2006. Before joining the Broward pastoral staff, Derrick attended Tennessee Temple University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Youth Ministry.
Derrick and his wife Marie (“The Babe”) were married in May of 2006. They have had many new adjustments to make from marriage, moving from Tennessee and Georgia, and starting new jobs. He and his wife are very excited about the new changes and can’t wait to see how God will use them at NTBC.
Derrick desires to see youth come to know Christ as their personal Savior, and see them grow to be more like Christ through discipleship, fellowship, and service. His focus of ministry is to reach youth by building deep, honest, fun relationships while teaching the truth of the Scriptures in a practical way, so youth can apply it to their everyday lives.
